WHAT'S INCLUDED...
🌀 Somatic Movement;
A gentle movement practice offering options, guidance and freedom to move intuitively.
You are invited to feel, sense and listen to how your body responds to natural movement, such as spirals,
waves and 'pandiculation' aka somatic stretch (or contract and release) to rehydrate the fascia in your body, ease tight and tense muscles and explore the intelligence of your body.
This will include a mix of standing and on the floor movement.
We may also use 'familiar' Yoga postures as a basis or starting point,
but this isn't rigid or alignment based and you don't need to have done Yoga.
🌿 Nervous System Nourishment and Stability;
Through movement, breath and allowing yourself this time, you are communicating trust, safety and patience to your nervous system, especially useful if you have a tendency to rush, push, strive or brace.
🧚🏻 A Simple Creative Exploration;
Which offers a different lens to further listen and learn about yourself
and the wisdom / intelligence of your body, emotions and mind-body connection.
Creative tools can include;
The Somagram or body-mapping, journaling or flow writing, reflective or creative prompts,
intuitive mark making, choosing colour, moving to music, nature or the elements.
These are a useful and alternative way to help you explore and express your inner experience, to access forms of knowing, feeling and self-expression, that aren't always available through words and thinking alone.

FAQs
What is Somatics and Somatic coaching? Somatics and Somatic coaching refer to a body-based approach to cultivate a body-mind connection, that supports awareness, nervous system regulation, stability and self-connection by listening to the wisdom of your body and how it communicates through sensations, movement and felt experience, not just the thinking mind. Somatic Coaching focuses on weaving you back into the great web of life, reconnecting with natures way, and your individual needs and desires. It provides a container to help you understand your current default behaviours and learn to step into a new way of being or desired behaviours; whether that's more nourishment, self-expression, or embodying more joy, inner power, or something else entirely. You get to decide.
Do I need experience with somatic practices, yoga or creativity? No experience is needed. All practices are guided gently and can be adapted to your body, energy levels and needs. This particular session invites you to move freely, as well as offering options and guidance. You’re always invited to go at your own pace and explore what would feel right for you, as you tune into the intelligence of your body and felt sense experience.
Is this therapy? No, this is not therapy. It is a trauma-informed, body-based coaching and group practice that can complement therapy or be supportive on its own. Nothing is forced or emotionally invasive.
Is this suitable if I experience anxiety or overwhelm? Yes. This monthly somatic reset ritual is designed specifically for people who feel anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out or disconnected from their body, and would benefit from a gentle, non-pushy form of support.
Is the Somatic Reset online or recorded? No. This Somatic Reset session takes place in-person.

I have a few somatic movement videos over on YouTube which might help give you an idea of what to expect.
Somatic movement isn't rigid shapes or alignment based.
It can be guided, focusing on specific areas of the body, muscles or fascia.
It can be linked to nature, elements and seasons to help weave us back into connection with nature, and it can be personal, expressive and intuitive - as we strengthen our ability to listen to how our body wants to move.
