also known as Bournville Quaker Meeting House

Accessibility & Inclusivity Note;

This workshop all takes place on the ground floor. There's car parking, toilets, a kitchen and wheelchair access. Chairs are available and the movement practice can take place sitting down. This is an invitation to move and dance in whatever way feels safe and available to you.

Although this is aimed at 'women' this workshop isn't specific to femininity or being a woman, and I'm still figuring out how to make it inclusive for diverse / marginalised genders. 💛

I've been running in-person Yoga Nidra & Watercolour / Acrylic Workshops since December 2020 and they always bring so much joy, to myself and my clients.

This is the first time I'm offering this type of workshop in-person!

I'd love for you to join me for another playful & explorative

Somatic, Yoga & Art Workshop! Let's experiment!

As you may know, I've recently trained to be a Trauma-informed Somatic Teacher & Coach, so you may notice a slight change in the movement practice, and the way I hold space for you.

I've been teaching in a trauma-aware and Somatic way for quite some time now anyway, so maybe it won't be much different - but these workshops are forever evolving and aligning with what I'm practicing and learning about!

Practicing in a Somatic way means you focus on the sensations within your body as they are happening, and you respond as needed in a way that supports and empowers you. This might be to your energy levels, to an injury or niggle, to your heart beating faster or a knot in your stomach. Paying attention to the sensations can help you to recognise what supports and nurtures you on a body, mind & soul level, and what creates more stress and tension.

This workshop aims to help you build trust in your body and with your own creative expression.

Supports you with connecting with your inner child in a safe and accessible way.

Provides the opportunity to rest your body and reduce clutter in your mind through the practice of Yoga Nidra.

I will guide you through a Somatic movement and dance practice, helping you connect to your body with love and compassion, and find joy and playfulness in moving your body.

You don't need to be able to 'dance' and this isn't a choreographed routine.

Take this practice at your own pace, remembering everything is a suggestion and an opportunity for you to move in your own way, as much or as little as you like. I will provide suggestions to help support where you're at.

Chairs are available if you want to sit down but don't want to get on the floor.

Somatic Practices can help you to understand your nervous system, to self-regulate, reduce or release stress, tension and pain in your body, allowing you to feel at home and present within your body and your experiences.

You will then settle down in a comfortable position for a Yoga Nidra Practice; a guided Somatic meditation known as Yogic Sleep.

Yoga Nidra helps create a calm and receptive state of being, which is very much needed for making art!

Yoga Nidra is generally practiced lying down on the floor (on your back or on your side) however you are welcome to sit in a chair.

Finally, brighten up your soul & connect to your inner child with a colourful & expressive painting session.

You will be guided through art practices but also encouraged to explore on your own!

These are designed for adults of all ages and are suitable for beginners.

Ages 12+ are welcome to join with a parent or guardian.

The Workshop Includes:

1 Somatic Movement & Intuitive Dance Practice - Connect to your body & breath, ground in the space and warm up your creative painting muscles.

1 Deeply Relaxing Yoga Nidra Practice - Get cosy under blankets & support your body with pillows to help your rest & expand your imagination & creative intuition.
