1-1 Somatic Coaching
A holistic & deeply transformative journey from
self-criticism to soulful connection with your body
From Judgement to Curiosity
You deserve to feel at home in your own body,
and reclaim a more nourished, confident & joyful way of being.
Have you spent your life...

-
Feeling dissatisfaction or shame around how you look, dress and express yourself.
-
Try to make yourself smaller, to feel invisible and avoid judgement from others.
-
Ignoring natural signals from your body such as hunger, tiredness, stress & the need for joy.
-
Pushing through pain or fatigue without allowing yourself space to rest.
-
Criticising and judging yourself constantly.
-
Using movement or exercise as a way to try to 'fix' or punish yourself.
-
Feeling creatively blocked, wishing you could feel more alive and naturally confident.
-
Lacking clarity around how to prioritise your needs and what it means for you to be 'healthy'.

If any of this feels familiar, you are not alone.

You are not broken and you don't need 'fixing'.
- but society often makes us feel that way.

We have lost our understanding of what it means to be human, to be connected to nature and to allow our body's natural wisdom to guide us.
Through Somatic Coaching you can reclaim this; learn the language of your animal body and use it to help you move forward with confidence, resilience and grounded in who you are.

"Somatic Coaching has changed the way I think about movement. My anxiety has restricted my movement and connection with my own body for many years, and the sessions have helped me address this in a gentle, non-judgemental way."
1-1 Somatic Coaching Client
Support with Health Anxiety

Using the Soma (Body), Psyche (Mind) and Soul (Spirit) Coaching Method, I help you tune into your body's natural intelligence, learn to resource on the level of your nervous system and feel empowered to release limiting beliefs & be proud of who you are!
This is for you, if you're ready to:
-
Build somatic awareness through physical sensations, movement, tension and relaxation in order to adapt / change old, disruptive ways of being, and integrate more nourishing ways of being.
-
Tune into inner and outer seasons and cycles so that you live, work, rest and play in alignment with your own unique rhythm.
-
Clarify your values and intentions for living well, and how to move towards them.
-
Explore, connect with and express emotions in a healthy way.
-
Build a relationship with yourself that is rooted in safety, emotional nourishment, compassion, and creativity.
-
Widen your capacity for life's challenges, and embody life's joys.
I've been there too...
I spent my teens and 20s feeling incredibly uncomfortable in my body. I ignored the natural signals and cue, experienced disordered eating and drank alcohol until I felt numb.
I felt so sad, but I couldn't pin point why.
What I didn't realise at the time, is that it was a way of coping - of dealing with change, uncertainty, hormones, waves of emotion and the inability to resource and feel stable in myself.
It's a strategy that my amazing, intelligent body came up with to try to help me.
Through Yoga, Somatics and Art, I have found a way to be happy, safe and comfortable in my body, recognising her strength and power, her softness and sensitivity and understanding who I am as a person.
I'm not 'perfect', I'm HUMAN and I'm here to embrace my version of perfectly imperfect.
Somewhere along the way we get told how we should be, we internalise that we are broken, or we experience something that impacts us deeply.
With guidance, you can re-write the narrative from
deep within.

A little more about Somatic Coaching...
Somatic Coaching focuses on your present situation or experience, and provides a creative, collaborative and curious space for you to get to know your body and emotional landscape, and orient towards who you want to be, and how you want to feel.
We provide space for the wholeness of you; Your lived experiences, memories, struggles, passions, beliefs and more, whilst allowing space for you to process and release what your body is holding onto.

A fundamental part of this work, is helping you learn what safety and stability feels like from deep within - on a nervous system level. This is where transformation begins and paves the way for confidence and changing how you see yourself.

I've been guiding Yoga for 7 years, and incorporate this wisdom into sessions when needed, to deepen the holistic approach. As a professional illustrator and creative workshop facilitator, creativity is also incorporated into sessions, which can encourage your connection to joy, support you through challenging aspects of growth and nurtures your inner child. You don't need to be an artist to benefit from the magic (and positive effects on your brain) of art and creative practices.

Client Feedback
"I was looking for a way to reconnect with my body, and rediscover ways of moving that felt safe and nourishing. Sophie's one-to-one somatic coaching sessions have been so supportive and helpful with this process. Sophie is sensitive, responsive, and able to create a space that is appropriate for my needs and energy levels on any given day. She is skilful, knowledgeable and has a wide range of tools to offer: I have learnt movements, techniques and ideas that have been invaluable on my journey. Most importantly, she is kind, compassionate and understanding. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with her, and I would highly recommend her as a somatic coach."

1-1 Client with Chronic Fatigue - 16 Sessions over 5 Months
"Thanks so so much for everything, Sophie. I really appreciate working together and helping me get out of my mind and into my body again. I won’t hesitate to come back again, as and when I can, and recommend other people to come and see you.
I really loved your person centred approach, so there’s no 'this way or that way', it’s very much like, you listened with real purpose and then helped me to work out the right ways to translate that into things in my life that can make a difference, and I know that that will be different for everybody that comes in depending on what they’re going through and what they need.
I felt really seen and heard and supported to make change myself on my terms."

How Are Sessions Structured?

Setting intentions
At the beginning of our journey, we’ll explore what you’d like support with and set some intentions for your growth. These intentions guide us, but we’ll revisit and reflect on them as things unfold.
Each session
We begin with a gentle catch-up, talking through what’s been present for you since we last met; what’s felt supportive, what’s been challenging, or anything new that’s arisen.
Next, we move into a Somatic check-in to help you settle into your body and the present moment.
From there, we follow what feels alive for you on the day, allowing your body to lead the way, or something that has come up before. This flexible flow means we can respond to your needs, your energy, and the natural rhythms of your life and seasons.
What to expect emotionally
Sessions are grounding, supportive, and compassionate. They can feel tender, reflective, or even energising - depending on what your body and mind need and express in that moment.
You’ll have space to explore, process, and reconnect with yourself in ways that feel safe enough.
What to expect physically
Sessions can include movement / Yoga Asana (postures), which is tailored to suit your needs and intentions for the sessions. Somatic movement is more of a gentle stretch; slow paced and focuses mainly on releasing tension and helping you to cultivate an inner awareness of your body and experiences. This can help to soothe anxiety, understand stress patterns and responses, and help you to reconnect with parts of yourself that may feel numb or challenging to connect with.
Between sessions
Weekday check-ins via WhatsApp are available for extra support, accountability, or simply to share how you’re doing.
You’ll also receive free resources, videos, practices, and follow-up emails to help you deepen the work in your own time (if and when they're required).
✨ You don’t have to do this alone. I’ll be here to support you as we explore what’s possible for you - with gentleness, compassion, and curiosity.
Meet your guide...
Hi I'm Sophie!
My teaching and guidance is built on and inspired by Hatha Yoga and Trauma-informed Somatic Practices; which refers to the interaction of your body, thoughts and actions. Since January 2024, I have been working as a Somatic Coach after completing my 160hr Trauma-Informed Somatic Teacher & Coach for Women training with Aneta Idczak. I am currently deepening my skills and knowledge alongside Dr Sarah Coxon on her Regenerative Alchemy Somatic Coach Training, which focuses on a nature-led approach.
I have always been interested in finding ways to support each and every person as the unique and wonderful individuals that you are, aiming not to box anyone into 'there is only one way'.

My experiences, knowledge, understanding and empathy from teaching Yoga for the last 7 years will always be prevalent within my teaching and the support I offer. I have supported clients who have fibromyalgia, were in breast cancer recovery, have long covid, arthritis, hip replacements, depression, anxiety, and chronic fatigue, which impacted their day to day mobility, lifestyle and emotional wellbeing. These experiences are what lead me to do further Somatic training and be able to offer more person-centred guidance and accountability for your wellbeing and help you connect to your body with compassion, love and understanding.

Please note that I am not a psychotherapist, counsellor or somatic therapist, and highly recommend seeking support if you are wanting to explore the deeper aspects of mental health issues through talk therapy.
I will refer clients to further support recovery and overall health and wellbeing as necessary.
