A gentle space to help you build a deeply nurturing connection to your body and creative self.
I'm curious to know,
have you spent your life...

-
Struggling with your relationship with your body, movement or food.
-
Trying to make yourself smaller, to feel invisible, to fit in and avoid judgement from others.
-
Hating what you see in the mirror and struggling to like and accept yourself.
-
Noticing every little imperfection and worrying what others will think.
-
Ignoring signals from your body such as hunger, thirst, constant anxiety, exhaustion, waking in the middle of the night & lack of joy.
-
Pushing through without allowing yourself space to rest or unwind from the day.
-
Doom scrolling, comparing yourself to others or distracting yourself to avoid the silence.
-
Using movement, exercise or food as a way to try to fix, punish or ignore how you feel deep down.
-
Feeling creatively blocked and wishing you could feel more expressive, alive and naturally confident.
-
Unable to experience joy, creativity and feeling numb to fun opportunities that present themselves.
-
Lacking clarity around how to prioritise your needs and what it means for you to be 'healthy'.

If any of this feels familiar, I want you to know that you're not alone.
And I understand how isolating it can feel.

You are not broken and you don't need 'fixing'.
- but society often makes us feel that way.

We can easily lose our understanding of what it is to be human, to be connected to simple joy, nature and the ability to follow the natural intelligence of our body.
Through Somatic Coaching and Creativity you can reclaim this inner knowing, and lean into the joys of living, to help you move forward with confidence, resilience and more grounded in who you truly are.

This 1–1 somatic coaching space offers personalised support to explore a different way of being with yourself; one rooted in self-compassion, body awareness and nervous system safety.
Together, we move slowly, building trust with your body and creating space for more ease, acceptance and quiet moments of joy over time.

I know how you feel...
I spent my teens and 20s feeling incredibly uncomfortable in my body. I ignored the natural signals and cue, experienced disordered eating and drank alcohol until I felt numb.
I felt so sad, but I couldn't pin point why.
What I didn't realise at the time, is that it was a way of coping - of dealing with change, uncertainty, hormones, waves of emotion and the inability to resource and feel stable in myself.
It's a strategy that my amazing, intelligent body came up with to try to help me.
Through Yoga, Somatics and Art, I have found a way to be happy, safe and comfortable in my body, recognising her strength and power, her softness and sensitivity and understanding who I am as a person.
I'm not 'perfect', I'm HUMAN and I'm here to embrace my version of perfectly imperfect.
Somewhere along the way we get told how we should be, we internalise that we are broken, or we experience something that impacts us deeply.
With guidance, you can re-write the narrative from
deep within.

A little more about Somatic Coaching...
Somatic Coaching provides a collaborative and curious space for you orient towards and embody more of who you want to be, and how you want to feel, shifting old patterns and ways of being that make you feel frustrated, at war with yourself and unable to sense joy or connection.
We provide space for the wholeness of YOU; Lived experiences, struggles, passions, beliefs and more, whilst allowing space for you to process and release what your body is holding onto. These are known as imprints from your past and present experiences, and may show up as physical tightness and tension, coping strategies and nervous system responses such as anxiety, feeling frozen, stuck or numb.

A fundamental part of this work is helping you learn what safety and stability feels like from deep within - on a nervous system level. This is where transformation begins and paves the way for confidence and changing how you see yourself.

I've been guiding Yoga for 7 years, and incorporate this wisdom into sessions when needed, to deepen the holistic approach. As a professional illustrator and creative workshop facilitator, creativity is also incorporated into sessions, which can encourage your connection to joy, support you through challenging aspects of growth and nurtures your inner child. You don't need to be an artist to benefit from the magic (and positive effects on your brain) of art and creative practices.

Client Feedback
"I was looking for a way to reconnect with my body, and rediscover ways of moving that felt safe and nourishing. Sophie's one-to-one somatic coaching sessions have been so supportive and helpful with this process. Sophie is sensitive, responsive, and able to create a space that is appropriate for my needs and energy levels on any given day. She is skilful, knowledgeable and has a wide range of tools to offer: I have learnt movements, techniques and ideas that have been invaluable on my journey. Most importantly, she is kind, compassionate and understanding. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with her, and I would highly recommend her as a somatic coach."

1-1 Client with Chronic Fatigue - 16 Sessions over 5 Months
"Thanks so so much for everything, Sophie. I really appreciate working together and helping me get out of my mind and into my body again. I won’t hesitate to come back again, as and when I can, and recommend other people to come and see you.
I really loved your person centred approach, so there’s no 'this way or that way', it’s very much like, you listened with real purpose and then helped me to work out the right ways to translate that into things in my life that can make a difference, and I know that that will be different for everybody that comes in depending on what they’re going through and what they need.
I felt really seen and heard and supported to make change myself on my terms."

How Are Sessions Structured?

Co-Creating your Programme

At the beginning of your journey, we dive deeper into what you'd like support with, the desired outcome you'd like to experience and what might be possible in the time we have together. We will co-create a detailed programme structure that will act as our roadmap and guide us along the way. We will re-visit and reflect on your intentions, outcomes and needs as sessions unfold.
Each Session

Each session will begin with a Somatic check-in to help you settle into your body and the present moment, and a gentle catch-up, talking through what’s been present for you since we last met; what’s felt supportive, what’s been challenging, or anything new that’s arisen.
From there, we follow what feels alive for you on the day, allowing your body to lead the way, or tuning into something that has come up before. This flexible, intuitive flow means we can respond to your needs, your energy, and the natural rhythms of your life and seasons. We also have your programme structure to refer to and ensure we're coming back to how you want to feel moving forward.
What to expect Physically

Somatics is a body-led or body-focused approach, so there will be focus around connecting to your physical body, nervous system, sensations and more. Depending on your relationship with your body will determine how we approach body connection in the initial stages. We move at the pace that feels right for you.
Sessions include movement, which is tailored to suit your needs, accessibility and outcome goals.
Somatic movement is more slow paced and focuses on releasing tension and helping you to cultivate an inner awareness of your body and experiences. This can help to soothe anxiety, understand stress patterns and responses, and help you to reconnect with parts of yourself that may feel numb or challenging to connect with.

During check ins and body-focused explorations, you may feel the urge to move, or you might notice sensations in your body. Somatic healing encourages you to go 'with' the urge and allow it to express itself naturally. This allows whatever emotion, feeling or instinct to play out and release from your body.

What to expect Emotionally and Mentally

Sessions aim to be grounding, supportive, and compassionate. They can feel tender, reflective, or even energising - depending on what your body and mind need and express in that moment.

Connecting with uncomfortable emotions and the challenging parts of yourself that you may usually avoid, can be really confronting. You may feel sad, angry, frustrated or want to stop completely. This is all very normal and our aim is to help widen your access to stability and build your capacity to feel, witness and process whatever arises. You may feel like it isn't working at times, but it can just take time, repetition and a gentle approach.
You’ll have space to explore, process, and reconnect with yourself in ways that feel safe enough.
You always have the choice to say no, if something doesn't feel right or you aren't ready to explore something.

Between Sessions

Weekday Email check-ins are available for light touch support, accountability, or to share your reflections. Coaching or somatic exploration will not take place over email; This will need to be brought to the session.
You’ll receive additional resources, videos, practices, and any relevant follow-up emails to help you deepen the work in your own time (if and when they're required).

Your programme structure will be available for you to add your own notes to.
✨ You don’t have to do this alone. I’ll be here to support you as we explore what’s possible for you - with gentleness, compassion, and curiosity.
Meet your guide...
Hi I'm Sophie!
My teaching and guidance is built on and inspired by the path of Hatha Yoga and Trauma-informed Somatic Practices; which refers to the interaction of your body, thoughts and actions. Since January 2024, I have been working as a Somatic Coach after completing my 160hr Trauma-Informed Somatic Teacher & Coach for Women training with Aneta Idczak. I am currently deepening my skills and knowledge alongside Dr Sarah Coxon on her Regenerative Alchemy Somatic Coach Training, which focuses on a nature-led approach.
I have always been interested in finding ways to support each and every person as the unique and wonderful individuals that you are, aiming not to box anyone into 'there is only one way'.

My experiences, knowledge, understanding and empathy from teaching Yoga for the last 7 years will always be prevalent within my teaching and the support I offer. I have supported clients who have fibromyalgia, were in breast cancer recovery, have long covid, arthritis, hip replacements, depression, anxiety, and chronic fatigue, which impacted their day to day mobility, lifestyle and emotional wellbeing. These experiences are what lead me to do further Somatic training and be able to offer more person-centred guidance and accountability for your wellbeing and help you connect to your body with compassion, love and understanding.

Please note that I am not a psychotherapist, counsellor or somatic therapist, and highly recommend seeking support if you are wanting to explore the deeper aspects of mental health issues through talk therapy.
I will refer clients to further support recovery and overall health and wellbeing as necessary.
